Something amazing happened at the beginning of 2015 only child chocolate Chocolate Co. was created. Its founder, an only child named Yana, is currently the lead pastry chef at a bakery in Portland and has been devloping the brand for a few years. Punny, adorable and delicious, Only Child is sure to be a yummy addition to the growing craft chocolate scene in Portland.

Missionary Chocolates began in 2008 when Melissa Berry, a Naturopathic Physician, was in her last year of medical school. What started out as gifts for her vegan mother quickly became a company, as a few months later her dairy-free truffles won first place at the Northwest Chocolate Festival in Portland, OR.
This unexpected success changed what was a home-based kitchen experiment in chocolate into a thriving company — the Mission of the company has always been to build an inpatient, integrative healing center in Portland, funded by chocolate.

Faith Dionne believes in real food, small economies, and sense of place. In her career as a pastry chef she has lived and worked all over the United States. Each town has a unique identity that I experienced through food. Living in Portland Oregon has been a paradise of ingredients and has grown a food community that celebrates locality. So she set out to showcase the region with an ingredient-driven candy bar line.
Bees & Beans candy bars are handmade in small batches featuring our prized local honey, butter, cream, coffee, berries, mint, walnuts and filberts. The chocolate is domestic bean to bar chocolate. Packaging is designed with consideration of the environment. These are candy bars that you can feel great about eating.
